Time to print

24th February 2010

Great to have the time to catch up on some printing with my brilliant Canon iPF6100. This thing can print 60cm wide (A1) with stunning results. Perfect for archival work.

To think that the room now occupied by the printer used to be the darkroom. Smelly chemicals, black painted walls, enlargers, big sinks, red light… I loved is.

Still, to be able to do the dodging and burning with my mouse is not a bad thing. A lot less paper wasted for a start! Talking paper, I can’t rave enough about Ilfords Galerie Gold. Looks just like the traditional fibre based papers.

This shot of Iain Cockley-Adams with one of his Cotswold pedigree lambs, is now framed in my living room.
