Things have been busy in the background as Iain at Siftware has started the process of updating my website www.caminada.co.uk. Visually it will look familiar and the trick has been for Iain to use my designs and implement them. If you’ve visited before, you may notice the changes such as this Blog section, search box and link for my picture library.
The whole site is now much easier to edit as Iain has done a brilliant job in ’skinning’ it for the excellent Wordpress.
Things are not complete yet. You’ll notice that if you click the link to the LIBRARY you’ll be taken to a new window and separate site. The plan is to make this all seamless and integrated so that you’ll not notice the difference.
From www.caminada.co.uk you can now access my portfolio, Blog and picture library.
The portfolio is in four sections. CORPORATE for business related shots, EDITORIAL for magazine shots, DOCUMENTARY for picture stories and PERSONAL for shots anything else I’ve done that doesn’t fit in the other sections.
The BLOG section will contain all the wordy bits. Here you can catch up with what I’m up to and depending on my mood, you may find some pictures to help illustrate this.
The LIBRARY is now a large part of my link to customers. This is where I deliver all the images and where clients can log in and view and download high res versions the pictures I’ve shot for them. The LIBRARY is fully searchable because I make extensive use of keywording and captioning. Without keywording and captioning it would be nearly impossible to find images in a collection that contains over 50.000! The LIBRARY is also used by several clients as a permanent base for their whole image collection and I manage it for them. This is very convenient as it allows them to 24/7 access from anywhere with Internet access.
Anyone can now also view some of the images stored in the LIBRARY’s public area and there is a facility to purchase downloads from as little as £25 + VAT. Why not have a go at finding this shot and then, if you fancy, buy a download copy. Simply type in the caption ‘Trees in clouds’ in the search box at the top and the image will pop up in a new window. Whilst you’re there, have a good look around and see if there is anything else you like. But please, do take a moment to observe the Licence Details before you part with your cash!
