| Dear [first name],
An eclectic mix of images for this first issue of the year – just to demonstrate how diverse this photographer has to be to keep busy! Top left is electrician’s apprentice Richard Randall from Welsh Water for client Words & Pictures. The next two are for the same client and show Isabelle Darmaillac and Anna Gallais of Procter & Gamble in Geneva. The National Trust wanted to show how their buildings are insulated with home-grown wool. This was not the main shot but it was quirky! See them used here. The wonders of digital photography allow me to |
take the kind of indoor, low light shots I did for The College of Law. Just using the light of that screen, I can show IT support specialist Zhang-Lei Wang.
Client Take a Break commissioned the shot of Rebecca Geuring who was a victim of identity theft. It required some re-enactment of her experience in prison. I guess it is one of the perks of my job that I get to tell people what to do – in the nicest possible way! Even better when they oblige. Makes it all so much more fun. There are some shoots that are completely unpredictable – and so much more interesting for it. The shot at the bottom illustrates this pretty well. |

| It was one of those days when I nearly cancelled driving up to Leicestershire for fear that I might get stuck in the snow. But the trip turned into a glorious winter day with snowy landscapes, blue sky, sunset, wildlife and friendly locals. The results were varied and exactly what I had hoped for.
You can read more about this ‘Shoot of the Shooters’ on my Blog. Incidentally this is the first shoot that I’ve made available for sale as downloads or as exhibition prints. So if you fancy spending your photography budget on some shots of traditional country-life pursuits, follow the links above. |
There will be many more shoots (photographic ones) of food, food production, preparation etc. All part of my on-going project of showing where our food comes from and what happens to it.
As always, I’d love to hear your feedback and can’t wait for the next project you’ve got for me to add to my diverse collection. Best wishes, Alex. |
