26th February 2010
I've just set aside a few Wednesday nights to host a workshop on colour calibration.
If you're not a photographer, designer or printer you probably haven't got a clue what this is and that's probably just as well.
Colour calibration is the process of measuring and adjusting the way computers and devices handle colour images.
For most of us working in the industry, getting colours to look the same on our displays as they do on our prints is crucial. It's crucial because we spend a lot of time getting our exposure correct and the light to look perfect. To have that all messed up by a computer or a printer that's set up incorrectly can be very upsetting and frustrating!
With a few fairly simple steps and some clever hardware and software, the frustration can be eliminated.
My workshops are intended for those with some experience of digital imaging and computers.
